Media kit
Venture Signal media kit
Who we are, how we can help your event or company, and how a partnership works. This is the web version of the PDF.
Who we are
Venture Signal is an independent publication, written from the UK. We cover startup and venture news in the UK and Europe, with AI, fintech and policy for founders. Our readers are founders, investors and the business leaders who have to act on the news, not just read it.
We publish in British English. Every figure is sourced to a primary document where one exists, and figures we estimate ourselves are labelled as such.
We are a young outlet. We do not quote readership, subscriber or traffic figures we have not measured. Once we have solid numbers, we will share them on request.
What we publish
- News
- Funding rounds, launches, deals and policy changes, written by our own editors and checked with the people named. A press release can be the reason for a story, but we do not publish it as one.
- Guides
- Plain-English explainers on startup finance, funding rules and AI economics, each tied to primary sources.
- Interviews
- Conversations with people who build and fund companies. We choose the subjects and write the questions.
- Briefing
- The London 07:00 Briefing: the day in 180 seconds, released on weekdays and available as a daily newsletter.
Editor-in-chief
George Bregman is editor-in-chief. He is an AI strategist who builds and runs AI systems for companies, and a venture analyst based in the UK. He has worked in AI, machine learning and data for twenty years. He sets the editorial line, edits the analysis and is responsible for corrections.
How we can help organisers and partners
- A listing in the Events calendar.
- A pre-event announcement.
- A mention in our daily briefing.
- Social posts about the event, where it suits our audience.
- Interviews with speakers and founders, before or after the event.
- A recap after the event.
Not every item suits every event. We agree the list with you in writing.
What partners usually offer in return
- Our logo and a link in the “Media partners” section of the event materials.
- A mention of the partnership in the event’s own communications.
- Press passes for our editor.
- A chance to speak with speakers and sponsors for interviews.
How it works
- Tell us about your event or company, using the form below.
- We reply within 10 working days. We may decline, for any reason.
- If it fits, we agree in writing what each side will do.
Editorial principles
- Editorial decisions are made by the editor-in-chief. Partners, advertisers, sponsors and the companies we cover have no say over what we publish.
- Editorial coverage is never for sale.
- Facts are checked before publication, and claims about named people or companies are put to them where that is fair and practical.
- Conflicts of interest are disclosed on the piece. Where we cover an event we are a media partner of, we say so.
- Paid content exists only as Partner content, clearly labelled Sponsored, with links marked rel="sponsored". It is kept apart from our reporting.
- No investment advice, no promotion of investment products or crypto-assets, and no introductions to investors or funds.
