Media partnerships for conferences, demo days and salons

We would be glad to hear about your event. Here is who we are, how we can help you reach people who care about it, and what partners usually offer in return.

Who we are

Venture Signal is an independent publication, written from the UK. We cover startup and venture news in the UK and Europe, with AI, fintech and policy for founders.

Our work is simple. We publish news, plain-English guides, interviews with founders and investors, and a daily briefing at 07:00 London time. Our editors choose what we cover and check the facts with the people named.

We are a young outlet and we say so. We do not quote readership figures we have not measured. Once we have solid numbers, we will share them on request.

How we can help your event

A media partnership is a practical exchange. Depending on your event, we can offer:

  • A listing in the Events calendar, with the date, city, format and a link to your official page.
  • A pre-event announcement, so our readers know the event is coming and what it is for.
  • A mention in our daily briefing, timed to suit your dates.
  • Social posts about the event, where it suits our audience.
  • Interviews with speakers and founders, before or after the event, where our editors see a story worth telling.
  • A recap after the event: what was said, what was announced and what we would watch next.

Not every item suits every event. A small salon may only need a listing and a recap. We agree the list with you in writing at the start.

What partners usually offer in return

This is an exchange, not a fee. Partners typically offer:

  • Our logo and a link in the “Media partners” section of the event materials.
  • A mention of the partnership in the event’s own communications.
  • Press passes for our editor.
  • A chance to speak with speakers and sponsors for interviews, at a time that works for them.

Where we cover an event we are a media partner of, we say so on the piece.

How it works

  1. Tell us about the event. Use the form below. It takes a few minutes.
  2. We take a look. We reply within 10 working days. We may decline, for any reason, including that the event is not a fit for our readers.
  3. We agree the list in writing. You and we confirm what each side will do, then we get started.

Editorial independence

One rule that does not bendOur editors decide what we write and about whom. A media partnership does not buy a story, a favourable angle or a particular interview. That applies to organisers, sponsors and speakers alike.

This protects everyone. Readers trust us because nobody can buy our coverage, and that is what makes a mention from us worth having.

  • We may cover a talk or a company on your programme, or we may not. We will tell you our plans, but we do not promise a result.
  • We do not send copy for approval. We check facts with the people named and correct mistakes quickly.
  • If a sponsor wants guaranteed or pre-approved coverage, that is possible only as Partner content: a separate paid track where every piece is labelled Sponsored and links are marked rel="sponsored". It is kept apart from our reporting.
  • We do not promote investment products or crypto-assets. We do not make introductions to investors or funds. We are a publication, not a route to capital.

Media kit

The media kit is a short summary of who we are and how we work. You can also download it as a PDF.

If you only want to be listed in the calendar, use the short form on that page. Listing is free.

Prefer a form to email? Tell us about your event. Editorial coverage is decided by our editors and is not for sale.

Founders looking for coverage of their own company should start on the For founders page.
